Christian Education
Nursery (Sundays 9:45am-11am):

"Whoever welcomes a child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me; for the least among you is the greatest." Luke 9:48

The nursery is a place where infants and children are welcome to play in a safe and caring environment allowing parents the peace of mind to pray, reflect and worship God. All of our childcare staff and nursery volunteers have been CORI checked and abide by our Safe Church policy.

Sunday School (Sundays, 10am-11:15am):

"Jesus said, ' Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs." Matthew 19:14

In Sunday School we invite children (ages 3-11) to explore their faith and learn the themes and stories of our Christian tradition through worship, songs, stories and games. Children are invited to joins us downstairs for Sunday School after the passing of the peace (or the Children's message) where we will continue the morning's worship in a more interactive and kid-friendly format. After Children's worship, the children are grouped according to age and grade (Pre-School: 3 and 4 year olds; Primary: K-2nd grade; Middler: 3-6th grade) where they learn more about the bible story of the day through reflection, games and crafts. Each class learns about the same bible story, but in a manner appropriate for each age group. All children are welcome members or not.

Adult Education:

"The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your might." - Deuteronomy 6:4-5

Faith is a life long journey and exploring faith through Christian Education continues long past confirmation and high school graduation. Through Bible study, sacred conversation, book club and seasonal classes adults are invited to grow their faith and learn more about the Bible and our Christian traditions. In Jesus' example we welcome people on all stages of their faith journey from those who are new to their faith to those who have a long relationship with scripture and Christian traditions - seekers, saints and sinners are welcome.

Youth Group (Monthly Lunch, 2nd Sunday 11:15am-1pm; monthly outreach activity)

"Ask and it will be given you; search and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you." Matthew 7:7-8

Youth Group, grades 6-10, is a place where youth are invited to come together for fellowship and outreach as they continue to grow in faith; exploring how that faith informs who they are and how they act in an increasingly complicated world. The Youth Group regularly participate in the general life of the church including serving the Advent Dinner, hosting the annual Easter Pancake Breakfast, walking in the CROP Walk and many other fellowship and outreach activities.
